"Since Command-Ho is packing up to leave Dili, she'll be selling off what she can't take with her.  Bring extra cash if you think you may want to buy a refrigerator, massive amounts of chocolate, spices, pots and pans, a blender, a food processor, cereal...and lots of other random goodies you can't get in Dili or would pay a whole lot more for!

Command-Ho's house (just after the Asia Foundation and before Moon Bar on the lefthand side of the road when coming from the direction of the Palacio....need more specifics? From the beach road heading to the Palacio, take a right just after the Palacio putting the Palacio on your right hand side. Then, take the first left you can take onto the road where Cafe Brazil is. Pass Cafe Brazil. You'll see the soccer field in front of you. Take the next left and then a quick right. You'll see a new white building with columns on your right hand side once you've made that quick right turn. Go almost to the end of that block, passing the Asia Foundation on the left. Follow the cars and humans."

Why are you here ?

Dili Hash House Harriers is Dili's version of the hash house harriers.  The same but different.  You are here because you are considering running or walking with us next Saturday.  You will get an hour's exercise then imbibe carelessly for the period of your choice. After a good dose of the GM's ramblings, there is an open invitation to participate in group eating as organised by the hares. The hash exists to encourage convivialness amongst a wide spectrum of people of all nationalities, levels of fitness and mixes politicians, policemen, public servants, pilots, plumbers and proctologists without a punch-up.  The run charge is US$5 which gets you an hour or so of uncontrolled drinking of either beer or soft drinks and a laugh at (hopefully) someone else's expense. There are not too many excuses as Dili has no opera, ballet, string quartet, poetry reading clubs, jazz music society or any of those other things that hashers crave for.

How to get on the mailing list

There are 2 ways of doing this.  One requires a Yahoo account and the other does not.  If you already have a Yahoo account, then the first option is probably better.  If you don't want yet another web site user name and password to manage then the 2nd option is better. Option 1 : Click to join DiliHash mailing list at Yahoo Groups This option implies you already have a Yahoo account or are prepared to create a new one. OR Option 2 : Send an email to dilihash-subscribe@yahoogroups.com.au You will then receive an email from YahooGroups asking you to confirm that you really want to join (by sending a reply email) and you are done.  You do not need an existing Yahoo account to do this.
